"Rescue Me" is coming! 10/12/23

Almost two years had gone by since the day Haze tried to end her life but there she was, still “living”. If you could call it that. Tucked away in her cottage in the middle of nowhere, the only time Haze had human interaction was on accident. Well, that was until she decided to step out on faith and bumped headfirst into Mr. Sire Sutton.

Sire is a businessman who’s only concern should have been making sure he closed the biggest deal he’d ever worked on. Not only would this deal be life changing for everyone connected to him, but it would also sever ties he had being dying to cut. He just needed to stay focused long enough to get the job done but there was Haze.

God created the world in 7 days and in those same 7 days your whole life could change.

This week Sire and Haze was getting something neither of them knew they needed.

Time to heal.

Haze needed to be rescued & Sire needed someone worth saving. Will they each get what they need, or will they be left longing?

A little personal backstory

The idea for Rescue Me, my new novel, came three years ago but no matter how hard I tried, I couldn’t tell the story. Not the way to needed to be told, anyway.

After living in a foreign country for over a year, I've learned so much and so many things have changed me forever. I've been on a healing and self-discovery journey since 2020 so I’ve done a lot of shedding the old and stepping into the new me but this past year was.... different.

Being around so many different types of people, showed me just how unique each story is and that's what helped me finally write this book.

If you met Haze in the short "Release Me" (her name was Akilah back then), you know she was beyond broken. She had no idea who she was or who she wanted to become. She was seeking validation from any and everyone hoping they would have the answers she needed.

When you’re reintroduced to my girl in Rescue Me, you'll see she is a completely different person. She’s been through the storm and decided she no longer wants to stay there. This story is a testament that when you work on yourself, things will fall into place for you.

Sire, her love interest, didn’t find Haze in a mess she’d gotten comfortable with . He found her on her way to a better version of herself. Their love story is one of self-discovery before anything else. Love is just a byproduct of the work they are putting in.

When Haze set out to heal, the only love she was looking for was her own.

Keep your eyes and ears open for this life changing story. Oct 12th is right around the corner.
